Yesterday I started my first photography course ever! I'm so happy This will be great, lots of new information and ideas and old knowledge to recapitulate and assignments and... yeah!

I have decided to join some clubs here on deviant. So this will be my "club-list" from now on.

No good news all in all so just a small update without its own entry -- Well, instead of working and trying to come closer to finishing my university assignment I learned something new today (don't know why, suddenly I was sitting here and fooling around with it - and it's soo fascinating...) Well, this is me trying to follow up on my own promise to me (or whatever). The newest picture which I submitted today is Studie in Rot and I'm very happy about it. I'm learning to find interesting details at the moment. Well, I'm already used to finding details while taking shots (with my Canon IXUS which has an optical zoom or whatever it's called) but I realised it's quite different (to me at least) if you take a picture and zoom in afterwards. Ähm, guess I can't really explain it. If you search for interesting details while still taking pictures you can just change your point of view and everything until it's exactly what you have in mind. Zooming in for details afterwards it's either right or not. It's more like... finding a treasure, maybe? Well at least that's what I felt like when I suddenly had this picture in front of me. I really love the colours and in a way it looks "harmonic" - even though it was a withered leaf and the white part seems to be erupting from the red (my first association). So, decaying, ruptured and harmonic? Maybe that's what I like so much about it *lost in thought*

Well, I looked through my pictures yesterday and thought that it's actually a bit... sad that I have no reminder of what I thought about or how I felt about all those when I finished them (and uploaded them here). I know that I liked some of them very much and now I look at them and am not quite so sure what to think about them and what I found so fascinating then. I guess that's the way it goes since I feel the same about some texts I've written. But still... So I decided I could write little journal entries whenever I submit a picture and have the time and motivation for a few lines. This is really more for myself than anybody else I guess. And I'm still not sure if I'll write anything (interesting) at all. But since it's visible to everybody... I would feel honoured if anybody had any interest in my pictures and maybe my thoughts about them as well. So, yeah...
